Cat Memories

Recently, my cat Ariel – who I’d had for 17 years – died. She wasn’t the cuddliest cat, for a long time she was overweight and in her later years she developed some unpleasant personal habits, which I won’t detail here. However, for 17 years she was there every time I came home and was by my side through lots of good times and bad times.

But I didn’t realize until late in her life that she had a sense of humor! Turns out that once the camera was on she shined! So, in honor of her memory, I’d like to relive a Cup O Politics video that Steve Garfield and I made last year featuring Ariel (and my other cat Hazel). Ariel is the white cat featured on the title screen…

Adios, little mermaid! We’ll never forget you.

Cup O Politics Launches!

Already tired of late night talk show reruns due to the writers strike? Feeling deprived of top notch topical humor? Well, chances are you’ll still feel deprived after reading this, but my old friend Steve Garfield and I have launched a new politically-oriented comedy venture called Cup O Policitics. It may not be Writers Guild quality writing, but at least its writer (me) will be assured of receiving any future new media income it generates (i.e. $0).

Anyhow, I write it and host it, Steve works all the camera magic and behind the scenes editing and whatnot. This is only the first of what will be a regular series of videos. Take a look and if you like, Twitter it, Digg it, StumbleUpon on it, whatever; just spread the word.
