The Obamas hosted their first official state dinner at the White House last night, in honor of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The dinner was a big success and, unlike when George Bush was president, Obama didn’t greet the Indian leader by saying “How!”

Britain’s Defense Secretary Bob Ainsworth is criticizing President Obama for not acting quickly enough on a troop surge to Afghanistan. President Obama has promised to respond to this criticism right after Easter.

The city of Rio – home of the 2016 Summer Olympics – has officially banned the sale of coconuts on beaches beginning December 1st because they’re an “unhygienic eye-sore”. It’s the same reason they’ve banned banana hammocks.

A new study from the University of Illinois found that elderly people who walk and talk while on their cell phones increase their chances of being hit by a car. The study recommends that either elderly people stop talking on their cells phones while walking or that people stop driving in malls.

A man in Brooklyn was brought back to life after his heart stopped for 47 minutes by doctors who performed 4,500 chest compressions on him. So, the guy was fine, but after giving all those compressions the doctor dropped dead.

Better Homes and Gardens and Martha Stewart Living will decorate 17 rooms in the State Department for the holiday season. They’re going to try and make the State Department less boring, drab and masculine – and if that works then they’ll try the same with Hillary Clinton.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was photographed parking his silver Porsche convertible in a red zone. He apologized and promised to go back in time and undo it.
