Fun Thanksgiving fact: A turkey has about 70 percent white meat and 30 percent dark meat. No, wait, I’m sorry, that’s a fun Sammy Sosa fact.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year will feature 800 clowns. It’s the biggest collection of clowns outside of Congress.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year will feature 15 giant character balloons, 800 clowns, 24 floats, and 10 marching bands. It’s like the world’s biggest acid trip.

During a speech before students yesterday, President Obama announced the creation of an annual White House science fair. The ideas is to to boost interest in science in math among kids and make even more work for moms and dads.

During a speech to school children yesterday, President Obama stressed that “scientists and engineers ought to stand side by side with athletes and entertainers as role models.” He also said if scientists and engineers can’t stand side by side with them then at least they shouldn’t be stuffed in lockers.

During a debate on the health care bill in the Senate Connecticut Senator Lieberman said, “I don’t think anybody thinks that this bill will pass,” to which NY Senator Charles Schumer responded, “We’re not – going to not – pass a bill.” Senator Lieberman than responded with, “Well, we’re not going to not not pass a bill,” at which point Senator Schumer gave Senator Lieberman a wedgie.

FRIDAY: Yesterday they had the big Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which featured 15 giant character balloons, 800 clowns, 24 floats, and 10 marching bands. The parade was a big success – only 2 giant balloons, 15 clowns, 3 floats and 1 marching band are missing.

FRIDAY: Yesterday the Obamas had their first Thanksgiving at the White House. It was the first turkey in the White House since George Bush was president.

FRIDAY: The NFL played a Public Service announcement during the Thanksgiving football games where Drew Brees completes a pass to President Obama. It was reminiscent of the years when Bill Clinton was president – except he was usually the one making a pass.

FRIDAY: Happy birthday to actor Jaleel White, who played Urkel in “Family Matters”, who turns 33 today. I don’t want to say he’s getting old but when he played Urkel he wore his pants up to his nipples for the show; now he just likes them like that.
