Writers strike, schmiters strike! One talk show host is still getting it done despite the Writers Guild of America labor action – and it sure ain’t Ellen.
Joe Lateshow is still going and now thanks to the immense talents of my buddy Brad Fitzpatrick he is – drum roll please – animated!
Since I write jokes for David Letterman, everybody’s been asking how the writers strike has affected me. Well, forget about me – I’m wondering how the strike is affecting the presidential candidates. No doubt, you are too.
Luckily, Steve Garfield and I took a look at that issue in this week’s episode of Cup O Politics. Take a peek for yourself.
Already tired of late night talk show reruns due to the writers strike? Feeling deprived of top notch topical humor? Well, chances are you’ll still feel deprived after reading this, but my old friend Steve Garfield and I have launched a new politically-oriented comedy venture called Cup O Policitics. It may not be Writers Guild quality writing, but at least its writer (me) will be assured of receiving any future new media income it generates (i.e. $0).
Anyhow, I write it and host it, Steve works all the camera magic and behind the scenes editing and whatnot. This is only the first of what will be a regular series of videos. Take a look and if you like, Twitter it, Digg it, StumbleUpon on it, whatever; just spread the word.
