Quick, when you heard that President Bush was leaving on a five-week vacation at his Texas ranch last week, what went through your mind? I’m willing to wager it was the same thing I thought:

President Bush is at his ranch in Texas on a five-week vacation.

Let’s see, oil prices are at record highs, the economy is still sluggish and Iraq is a mess – yeah, I’d say he’s earned five weeks off.

Was I right? If so, you’re qualified to write jokes for late night talk shows, cause that was a joke I wrote that David Letterman told on last Thursday’s Late Show (8/4/05).
